Job Description Summary

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking a highly energetic, analytical, goal-oriented professional to join its three-person annual giving team. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Officer will be primarily responsible for managing the Institute’s phonathon program, with the goal of doubling the programs revenue in a two-year period. The Annual Giving Officer will also be responsible for growing the Institute’s student philanthropy and senior class gift initiatives, with the goal of achieving a minimum 25% participation for the senior class. In addition, the Annual Giving Officer will assist with the development and execution of direct mail, email-marketing, and online giving campaigns to increase alumni participation, particularly among young alumni.

Preferred Knowledge Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Candidates for this position should possess strong communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills; and have an ability to work effectively with volunteers and students.

Candidates should have an interest in working in a higher education fundraising setting.

Advertised Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates for this position have experience working in a phonathon/tele-fundraising program, preferably as student caller or manager in a higher education setting; familiarity with Abila Millennium or similar databases, as well as automated telephone fundraising software; and comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
