Job Description Summary

The Athletic Communications Coordinator assists the Director of Athletic Communications with the intercollegiate athletic communications operations and serves as internal and external contact for assigned sports. Coordinates internal and external communication for athletic events, and serves as media contact for assigned sports. Maintains positive relationships with internal and external constituencies including but not limited to, Wentworth, the public, the press, and electronic media.
Maintains the athletic department website, writes press releases, game notes, and stories for publication. Ensures that data is accurate, relevant, and posted in a timely manner. Updates social media content to promote Wentworth Athletics.
Develops and oversees the delivery of publications, special promotions, and general information on related activities and events. Monitors all outgoing materials for brand consistency.
Maintains team and individual statistics.
Assists with the preparation and implementation of traditional and digital marketing efforts.
Promotes honors for outstanding athletes, coaches, and administrators.
Complies with all Institute, CCC and GNAC Conference rules and policy, as well as all NCAA rules and regulations.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree. One to three years experience working in the field of intercollegiate athletic communications (3-5 preferred). Valid drivers license.
