Job Description Summary

Maintains a safe and secure campus environment. Focus is on crime/violence prevention, community policing and service. Patrols campus, investigates crimes and incidents, provides assistance and where needed medical service to the community. Completes reports and needed documentation. Makes arrests and testifies in court as needed. Carries a firearm.

Minimum Education Required Associate's degree, or vocational or technical school degree

Minimum Work Experience Required 1 - 3 years

Minimum Knowledge Required Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. Uses instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function. Periodic training will be required.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in Criminal Justice.
Graduate from a Municipal Police Training Council Academy, Special State Police Officer Training Academy or Massachusetts Reserve Intermittent Training Academy.
License to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts
License to carry a firearm in Massachusetts
Ability to pass in depth background and criminal history investigation
