Job Description Summary

Assist the Students and Chair of the Electrical Engineering and Technology Department on a wide range of tasks including but not limited to: academic forms such as drop/add forms, change of major forms, course substitutions and advance standing credit, organizing meetings with various committees, and collaboration with all departments on campus. Assist with graduation reviews/audits, student course scheduling, and transfer student audits/reviews. General office duties include processing mail, book orders, forms, record keeping, accreditation processes, appointment scheduling and organizing, data entry, organizing department critical documentation

Minimum Education Required Associate's degree, or vocational or technical school degree

Academic Issues – Sign off on academic forms such as drop/add forms, deadmit/change of major, course substitutions and advance standing credit. Assist the students with all academic issues and give assistance to the advisors and program coordinators/chair as needed. Assist with graduation reviews and transfer students.

General Office Duties – mail, book orders, processing forms, data entry, mailings, incoming calls to the department, publish the vacation schedule for staff, order supplies, submit work orders, and special issues as directed by the department head. Assist with department functions as needed such as IPAC meeting.

Work study students – responsibility for the time sheets for all work study students in the department and supervision of the ones that work directly for me.

Responsible for collecting various departmental forms/items as directed by the department head: faculty annual reports, teaching preferences each semester, syllabi and revised schedules each semester, bonus documentation, course manuals, final exam issues/requests, and various other tasks.
