Job Description Summary

Providing writing assistance to students. Create writing handouts and supplemental assistance materials.

Minimum Knowledge Required Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.

Provide writing assistance to students. Communicates suggestions effectively to students using a variety of pedagogical approaches, as appropriate. Prompts and facilitates growth in the student’s independent writing abilities, rather than simply editing and proofreading for the student. Assists students in each stage of the writing process. Maintains highest level of professionalism

Maintains a set weekly schedule. Creates a profile and maintains an accurate schedule in the appointment manager

Accurately and consistently tracks drop in and cancellations of appointments. If unable to keep an appointment due to an emergency or illness, emails students with appointments as soon as possible and notifies the Director.
